Aromatic Flesh
Chapter 119.2: Demon Sect Leader’s Holy Maiden Concubine (11)

When it was time for bed, Jia Ling did not stay the night on her bed. Instead, he lay on the deck and drank wine from jar after jar. His elegant and refined demeanour, his domineering and sinister aura – both were shattered into illusions by his current state, which was that of a drunken mess.

The next day was unusually peaceful.

Jia Ling was nowhere to be found, and Gu MingYue played with her toys on the painted boat deck as usual. When twilight fell, Jia Luo brought her a silver mask carved with alluring patterns. The eyes of the mask were inlaid with a pair of blue moonstones, clear and without any impurities. The flowing blue within them seemed like a soul trapped within the gemstone, chasing after light and wanting to break free.

It was a full moon tonight.

It was time.

Gu MingYue feigned a few token struggles before allowing Jia Luo to cover her eyes. She even reached out to feel the mask that fit so perfectly over half of her face, as if suddenly realizing that Jia Luo was playing a new game with her.

Jia Luo stood before Gu MingYue and studied her for a while, taking in every movement. A faint smile curved the corners of his lips as she said softly, “The people who have come to welcome you are here.” She took Gu MingYue’s hand and guided her step by step onto the deck.

Gu MingYue couldn’t see, so she didn’t know that on the lake filled with lotuses, there was a Sect master standing on each lotus leaf or lotus stalk, all dressed in white silk robes embroidered with red lotuses and snakes. They held up seven-coloured glass lotus lamps in both hands, their postures reverent.

Jia Ning stood on one of the glass lamps, holding one end of a red silk rope in his hand. He had also dressed in white silk robes embroidered with red lotuses and snakes today, but with a red belt around his waist. The night air made his dark hair and snow-white skin seem even more striking, and his star-like eyes shone with waves of light. Without any need for further adornment, he was elegant and refined, like an immortal.

The red silk stretched behind him, slowly tautening until it became a bridge of silk suspended in midair. Only then did he take Gu MingYue from Jia Luo and carry her over his shoulder. He stepped onto the red silk and walked toward the shore, guided by the colourful glass lights that illuminated the misty lake surface and the dancing shadows of the lotus flowers.

The colourful glass lights in the forest on the shore shone like fireflies, winding down from LingZhao Palace.

The other end of the red silk was tied to the entrance of LingZhao Palace. This was a path leading to the ceremony, neither touching the sky nor touching the ground, continuing the tradition of the floating passageways that was passed down many generations.

Held in Jia Ning’s arms, she could make out the faint scent of grass and trees, much like his own demeanour.

“When I fuck you later, make sure to scream loudly.”

Jia Ning lowered his head and pressed his lips to Gu MingYue’s forehead, speaking words that were completely at odds with his demeanour. There was a mocking tone to his voice, but also a hint of something malicious that was difficult to detect.

Gu MingYue shivered in response, and Jia Ning’s smile deepened.

Jia Ning set Gu MingYue down at the entrance to LingZhao Palace. The two rows of female cultivators who had been waiting for her rushed up to embrace her before leading her slowly into the palace with utmost respect. They then brought her to a platform that was both open and spacious, located near the edge of a cliff.

The cool wind blowing in her face told Gu MingYue that she was now near the altar.

The girls dressed in white silk gently removed the silver mask from her face, and her vision cleared quickly.

A full moon hung low in the sky, a giant silver disc that seemed so close it was within reach. Its light was warm and bright, so much so that it blurred the stars and drove away the darkness of night.

Gu MingYue squinted slightly.

The moonlight tonight was too bright, to the point that she could barely open her eyes. The entire area was bright and glittering. The large square platform dedicated to worship was covered in black jade bricks, and its perimeter was encircled by white jade railings engraved with golden beasts riding clouds. The bricks reflected a soft glow.

Two of the girls dressed in white silk walked to one corner of the platform and, with some unknown method, caused a muffled rumbling as the black jade bricks rearranged themselves on the ground.

In an instant, a hot spring appeared before her, its waters steaming hot.

The remaining girls carefully undressed Gu MingYue, removing all her hair ornaments and jewellery.

Her long black hair flowed like water in the breeze, wrapping around her flawless body in a stark contrast of white and black that was even more bewitching than the moonlight.

Under the girls’ careful guidance, Gu MingYue stepped into the water. Their delicate hands washed her hair and body with just the right amount of force, then dried her skin and hair with fine white silk and applied a fragrant moisturizer.

After bathing, a four-sided canopy had already been set up in the centre of the platform. Inside it was a soft bed surrounded by four pillars, and white silk curtains hung from them. The canopy was also adorned with red lotus flowers and coiling snakes, and a wide ribbon of brocade with white and red crystal beads encircled the top. Four incense burners shaped like lotuses with coiling snakes sat at the corners of the canopy, their smoke curling up into the night sky bright as day.

Gu MingYue was dressed in a long robe of thin, translucent silk. The material was as light as mist, and it did little to conceal her delicate curves. Gold chains adorned her wrists and ankles, each one fastened with a handful of tiny golden bells and red coral beads. She was surrounded by the white-robed girls as she stepped toward the dais. The sound of the bells mixed with the girls’ song, creating a clear and melodious harmony.

Just as she was about to step into the tent, a powerful force yanked Gu MingYue backwards, and she lost her balance, falling backwards.

The girls’ singing came to an abrupt stop, and they all looked on in alarm.

Enjoy~
