The story is not bad MC is good Characters in this novel are above average in general and there are a couple of good side characters.. It has WOTMW vibes but this is much worse than Warlock imo... I decided to drop it at chapter 1100+ because it contains a lot of fights and ALL of them are boring, I never enjoyed the fights in this novel because they feel bland and have nothing interesting to them I don't think it is a bad read but because it looks very similar to WOTMW something in my head keeps whispering "This is worse than Warlock..."

Ngl, it was good for first hundread's of chapter's but it gets really bad, the Novel is full off thing's which doesn't need to be explained, he makes a love intrest( which is like way younger then her, if you count his real age) and later he has s*x with a random sl*t, then he find's another women which is actually lovable and smashes but circumstances forced them to depart and he basically doesn't show up for a 100 years just because he didn't had " Power", he literally let's his father figure die because he just can't be more fuc*ng thoughtful in his infiltration, he let's his master die because he thought of him as "burden"

He's simply evil, the revenge doesn't make sense but he personally did much worse things.

Yeah... I agree with you, he is evil but in my opinion the author didn't really gave much of a valid reason.. It's okay for him to be cold and indifferent towards humanity for what he had gone through, but it didn't made sense why he was even cold to his friends which helped him, actually he should have been more considerate towards personal relationships since there were his master and his mother who literally exchanged their lives for his.

Exactly, if there was more depth towards his character and backstory then the revenge might have been justified but it's not. He didn't even had it that hard, not to mention after he ran away from the royals he saw how the world worked, he saw people in much worse condition, and even he himself claimed that human lives are pointless. So in my opinion he should have had a character development and just killed his father, not his whole family because his grandfather wasn't really a bad guy.

Ngl, but the grandfather final moments were epic af. It was the only thing making me stick to the story until the arc where they start the War with that other World or something

The invasion arc was trash af, all they did was f*ck like rabbits and organizing multiple *rg**s. I dropped it during the arc, author is most likely a virgin who have yet to experience any actual intimate act.

Yeah.. That sucked alot, but before that time, mc didn't had any advantages which makes him "superior" to other's, so it was refreshing to see that he is awwonga dragon species sh*tt*r because of his cultivation method

About 800 chapters in. While I don't think it sucks, nothing about the series has grabbed me either. I feel like the series is very boring, there just isn't any excitement for anything. Even fighting, the fights are just really slow moving in feeling. To me that nihilism theme has really dulled everything, that makes the series feel boring. So, personally I don't get the hype around this one? It could just be me, and I'll say this one just isn't for me. I usually finish series, even if I'm not really enjoying it that much, especially whenever it is a finished series, so I will keep going, and maybe my feelings so far, will change? I will try and keep an open mind, but right now I'm "meh" on the series.

its mostly a simple read, thinking of it like a starter kit to the cultivation genre, fits its category. otherwise its rly hard to be ranked inbetween that kind of status. because its rly not that special. but not too bad either. but it is certainly lacking in many aspects, its alright, for an author stepping into the writing world tho one rly annoying aspect is the translation having rly basic vernacular, it's no surprise as to why it would be a chore to read at times

Does this series ever become more than a nihilistic person's, wet dream? I'm like 300 chapters in, and this is one of the most boring worlds I've ever read, and a MC that doesn't evolve as a person in anyway. There's just now way that a series can maintain this kind of outlook for 2300 chapters, and still be good? I guess "good" is subjective, but does the MC and or the world grow into anything more beyond this melancholic, nihilistic, idea? Does the MC only fight to obtain power and nothing else? If so, I just don't understand the hype for this one.

One of my favorite novels mostly because the side characters King Elbas and Divine Demon will still be my favorite characters of all time and the story was good in the divine arcs unlike what people say it only got bad once Noah reached rank 9 at like chapter 2000 it got boring after then and my other problem with the novel is they just did not know how to use June first their relationship is toxic compared to his first one in that one city and she is always behind Noah and carried by him aswell as her personality being just annoying I was fine with her until like somewhere in chapter 2000 they b*llsh*t resurrected her but overall really good read side characters really carry the story for me throughout divine arc as their group when Noah was stage 8 was elite and the hive is also a great group Noah isnt really interesting to me as he really is the same throughout most the novel he only changes early on.

This novel was good to some extent but after some time it got really bad the main character is good i like him his resolve to be the strongest is good the way he acts the way he excepts the reality is good the way he acts emotional but still cold is good also Mc,s journey is enjoying but there are some downsides to this novel first power system is good but its effectiveness is sh*t like Noah is Rank 5 for example but when we read fight scenes there is no dramatic scenes or mc,s power being showed also king Elbas is an overpowered character in comparison to mc also after mc goes to immortal land it became worse there is no good fight there is no meaning to story also what the hell is wrong with side characters they are worse in immortal land overall it was a nice read but after mc became Rank 8 I quit it bcz it felt alot boring

Spends the whole story creating the demonic sword, defeats the highest power he knows to exist, finds out his world is only a tiny fraction of the wider cultivation world, sopranos black cut ending. Great story till the end. Which might be the worst ending I’ve ever read.

This isn’t technically a spoiler, but reading your comment made me feel like not reading this novel anymore just because you summarizing the plot took away some of the charm of reading for the first time.

I tried to start reading, but for me, at the time, the novella seemed too violent. Especially the way MC's father treated his mother. I couldn't take it anymore and gave up. So, how does it go from here? Is MC going to keep going through the cr*p of the world like this?

In a nutshell, yeah. The MC is no better than his father. In fact, he's worse. If you've read other progressive fantasies or xianxias, you know what's going to happen. These novels make you appreciate the process more than the end, because the end is usually (and in this case) unsatisfactory. It's really upto you. From how you reacted to the abuse of the father, it seems you're a sensitive person (nothing bad, in fact it's much needed) so I'd assume this isn't for you. This novel has an edgy MC. If that's your taste, read on. However, instead of taking my words for it, you should read a few more chapters to form an opinion. Happy reads!

Thank you for your reply. Actually, I'm not always against cruelty, it depends on who is victimized by it. If it's an innocent woman, like in the case of MC's mother, then yes, it's really sad. But if it's someone like the father or family who is constantly abusing them, then I'm not against cruelty. Ha, double standard, isn't it?

Some small spoilers for you to decide if you want to keep reading. First, MC is definitely not a good guy, he committed a plenty of various crimes. However at the same time I really can’t say that he is that horrible. He has a goal and moves towards it, ready to do pretty much anything. Among the worst things he had done in about 1000 chapters I would only call really bad human experiments and one innocent old man he killed. However human experiments were made on humans whose mental state was already beyond repair, and old man really got unlucky to witness MC while he was on the run. Second, MC is all about reaching his goals, aside from that he is relatively harmless and usually doesn’t touch anyone. First few chapters he is all gloomy and lonesome but then we see that MC is still capable of things like friendship and love. Most of the time in fact Noah is pretty chill. But yeah, the world itself is quite cruel and ruthless, so if you don’t like such setting then better drop it.
