Honestly it is a very emotional and interesting love story and if you are looking for a romance with drama, you will get it here. If what you are looking for (as in my case) is romance with intrigue and conspiracies then you will feel a little disappointed, the antagonists are stupid or are no match for the couple and most of the difficulties are solved by themselves or are solved by the ML on their own and many times I was left with the feeling of “That's it, this is it?” at the end of a plot. For me what I liked a lot was the selfish and pragmatic attitude of the protagonist, that is very rare to see and it was one of the things I enjoyed the most. I would rate this novel a 3. 5 for me.

I really enjoyed the story! It was an easy read and quite satisfying. I appreciated both the main character and the love interest; their dynamic was adorable. This is a great choice for anyone looking for a light, fluffy read that still engages the mind without being too simplistic.

This novel is a gem. I expected to have a fun read but I got so much more. You'll learn a lot of lessons as a daughter, a wife, as a parent, and as and your own person. Somehow, this healed my inner child. Don't be fooled by the weird title (there's actually an inner joke in the title which you'll discover in the later part of the story). If you're a woman, read this!

I read this entire story in 3 days, the female main character is actually smart and not a damsel in distress, she is also ruthless to her enemies which is SO fun to read about when it’s happening. The male lead is also ruthless but very sweet and caring to only the female lead THEY ARE MEANT FOR EACHOTHER. The world building is also done fantastically (its very easy to understand)

I thoroughly enjoyed all the drama that took place along with the power couple main characters. I couldn't stop reading as they kept pulling on my emotions. I love that the story also seems to be loosely based on a real story of the only emperor to have no concubines in the ming dynasty. Only the real protagonists stories did not have a great ending, which is tragic. 10/10 would recommend reading this if you're inclined.

Read this! It's worth it. No trashy main characters, just annoying families and villains. To those who already read the story, recommend me something like this. With no dumb character, please! Big thanks to the translators!

Perfect from start to finish. Not stereotypical and the events are all realistic and not over the top like some third rate drama. The extra chapters left me wantng more. Will definitely read again.

Such a great, interesting story! Felt like a breath of fresh air since it doesn't include isekai or coming from the modern world. Fell in love with the couple! Hope whoever stumbl s upon this gives it a chance and reads it!
