Quite and slow pacing. Reminds me of A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality. The MC is a lone wolf like most other cultivation novel MCs, we dont really have real relationships here, just what feels like npc characters. The book is quite descriptive, which combined with a very slow pacing makes me feel like nothing is happening. It doesn't make me feel interest in terms of what's happening next, i'm not excited, or sad or feeling something during this novel. Otherwise, the writing itself is good, side characters actually have brains (they're like MCs of their own novel)
very cautious and calculative mc, he also don't mind being EXTREMELY ruthless to achieve his goal and this traits are done very well in this novel.
With coincidence of me finishing the current availabe chapters and the novel being uploaded on lightnovel I am going to make a quick review, here are the ratings: 1: non-existent/ the story would be better if it got removed/ a viable way of t*rt*r*. 2: not properly implemented and may cause slight brain damage. 3: bearable, may need to shut your brain for a better experience. 4: the absolute reading standard, if it is a 4 then it's the way to go. 5: wait! This actually exist? Ch 393: Characters: 4. 4/5. You can feel the depth of most characters, trying to reach Dao no matter what. Story: MC is seeking "true" immortality. Translation: 4. 5/5. Actually a good Translation. World building 4. 8/5. The world is coherent and detailed enough, every part of the world gets planned and used there is no info dumping, but literal world building that gets used later in the story. Ch 1401: Characters: 4. 8/5. Hey, 10, 000 alliance can you stop having a d*mn solution to everything!? And you Mo Robin! I know you are one of 12 heavenly lords and all, but why did you hide an immortal weapon thousands of years ago "just in case"??? This is a d*mn cultivation novel! You don't have the right to be this cunning and strong! Story: MC is still the same, discussion dismissed. Translation: 0?/5. Ever machine translated a machine translation? I hope you never did. World building: 5. 1/5. ??? . . . What does this even mean
This is probably the best simulation/regression novel I’ve ever read. The power system is unique, there’s good amounts of mystery, the MC is actually pretty dang smart compared to most, the MC goes through character development that turns him ruthless and perfectly fit for the world, and the translation is pretty good. Now, because I like to be fair about comments and reviews there are a few negatives: The first arc can be a bit boring but push through it, you shouldn’t be disappointed. The author made some mistakes with world building early on but fixes them later. The last negative is that the translator changed at ch 333 so there’s a bit of a change to terms and flow, thankfully it wasn’t a massive change so it doesn’t disturb your reading experience much. The only simulation/regression novel that comes close is a A Regressor’s Tale of Cultivation but I’m of the opinion that ruthless and smart MCs have more potential and that novel nails that. Also a plus depending on your outlook is there’s little to no romance.
Phenomenal world building, it has a good mix of mysteries, cultivation, and fights . The mc has a kind of cold personality and is very rational . The fights are somewhat unique and different.
I quite like it, does quite well especially in this genre but other novels like 'ARToC' definitely outperform it. I enjoy the charactera, I enjoy the world building, it's good quite a good translation. Got some minor annoyances like with how reaching a certain level of power is achieved. I enjoy that while the MC is smart and wise from his many regressions he isn't some super FY level schemer. I guess the story whilst slow paced has some areas i feel were a tiny bit rushed. With all this in mind i'd rate this more like a four and a half stars. Very good, very enjoyable!
It's a time-loop novel. The best part if MC's attitude. He's a cold rational demon. In one timeline someone might be an enemy but a friend in another because of the circumstances. Sometimes he might need to f*ck his friends over to achieve his goals. His goal is immortality and he will do anything for it. Worldbuilding is good too. it also gets better later on.

Tbh mc is not a ruthless demon. His many seemingly ruthless actions are not that disturbing when compared from his point of view. This is because he can turn everything as false and return to previous time anchor. So even if he destroys the world in some timeline,it doesn't really matter. Again he is not scyco. He kills someone only when it benifits him not for the sake of fun.

Not really a loop. The MC can choose to exit the loop anytime he wants.
at the first look at the title i think this is a novel with mc have a op as f system ( kinda hate this kinda novel because it ruin the cultivation of the novel) but dang i glad i wrong this novel is good if i need to compare this novel quite like a regressor tale of cultivation ( but mc not automatic regress and not have op as f fated enemy) and the thing i like most about this novel is the world built dang i never thing about that kinda like the heaven went crazy when their are too many cultivation robbing it and it need to balance it and dang it realy balance the whole thing ( want too know how heavenly do that , read the novel ) i like the mc too he is a clever normal person with may be infinited chance of redo but he know this chance could be taken away so he slow down , take time ( like what a man with infinited chance would do ) but still hardworking to achieve immortal 10/10 need to read
Easy rec. I read this elsewhere, but the premise is a postapocalyptic xianxia with a protagonist that repeatedly regresses as he explores the mysteries of the world and steadily grows in power. In many ways, it's similar to a Regressor's Tale of Cultivation, except that the protagonist invests in himself and lets go of each life after its ended. It winds up with a relatively gray morality draped over a power hungry protagonist that will see enemies as friends and friends as enemies depending on the new trajectory of each life. The prose is nowhere near as intricate as Regressor's Tale, but I had a lot of fun with the progression, driven by a cautious, intelligent, and hardworking protagonist. Definitely recommend checking it out to see if it appeals.
I read this back in late 2022 up to ch150 and remember it being pretty good; 8. 4/10. This novel focuses more on development of the world and its main themes such as immortality, unpredictability, and life. There are barely any actions and anything that happens and what is written are things that are necessary to the story. A very great read but would definitely not be for everyone. This is a story about a regressor who tried his best in attaining immortality. This is not the usual world like in other cultivation stories, this is a world AFTER that. There's a lot of changes, for example instead of sects they now have two world powers vying against each other, and theres a decrease of bullying mortals due to the virus in mortal's blood, and there's no monsters.
What is ARToC?
You're still pretty early into the story. Once you get more into the story you'll realize how good the world building really is
