It has a good start, it was interesting and fun to read, but it went downhill really quick, the story wasn't interesting anymore and the MC just becomes dumb? MC has military background and was very smart and only made logical choices at the beginning, but after the necromancer Arc he just becomes dumb.

It's decent. When necromancher appeard everything started to go down, bc the main character started to make unreasonable decisions and is to arrogant. I also don't like the pagan because he is making the cult.

bad start . actually I hated it . . in the first chapter he should do what we call information dump to give us perspective about him and the world . and especially in this type novels Kingdom building would not work . I was patient and read until 50 chapter. but it guttes worse. and I hate when they kept I was in my past life . we know but don't keep bringing it up. . over all do not recommend. . last protagonistes in the beginning always try empower themselves then the crowds

It was good in the beginning he seemed somewhat reasonable but it started going downhill for me in the necromancer arc. . . He was doing things too hastily for no reason even with his military background. . . Even after necromancer arc he was still doing things unprepared which eventually crippled him. . . But it is still good enough for reading to pass the time

This story is a low 3 IMO. It, like many other stories on this site, was good at first and got worse later on. Your enjoyment of the story will probably vary based on what you come to the story for. If you're like me and you Enjoy the MC taking care of his family in this story you'll enjoy the beginning and wonder if he has forgotten they exist at multiple points later on. If you like fighting the beginning will probably be boring to you. What makes the story worse is that although the MC constantly talks about strategy and thinks about his former military background he repeatedly fails to even try thinking about the consequences of his actions until it's 2 late. Overall there are points I really enjoy, mainly his interactions with his family, and points I don't enjoy such as when he rushes off to do something he's unprepared. For me the story is just good enough to not drop, but that's it. I'm a harsh critic though, so I suggest you check it out

It start off good but for me personally it fumbles in necromancer arc and I can’t even forced myself to read cause it’s so frustrating (mc the logical thinking guy suddenly turns dumb in that arc and I’m not even exaggerating ) but if this is your genre it might be not too bad. For me this is 3. 6 / 5 but like i said if this is your type it might be higher.

3 stars just for the writing style and worldview. But unfortunately this is a dish to generic. Your usual MC who is the supposed "Chosen one". Being abused by higher tier beings, confusion about what his goal is, then somehow rising against all odds. This isn't what I was expecting. I went into the story expecting a nice kingdom building and adventure. This turned into a tragedy drama jungle xianxia. Sigh. . . But go ahead if you enjoy that.

Spectacular! Honestly you may get disappointed if you expect a great story or plotline. But this novel's world building, setting, and the details are so fantastic. Sure the characters are lacking especially the mc who just feels like a generic veteran template. But man, when the way the author explains the setting is what keeps me reading this novel.

Started reading it as a place holder becuse I thought it was a joke novel but couldn't stop reading after a point and binged it. Being a dad is hard man

A great book, though the levelling system could be better developed. It is an entertaining read and the pacing is good for the most part. At the halfway point (around 100-125 chapters in), it’s starts getting a little wonky, but hey, I think the novel can still catch itself.
I would argue that he started acting stupidly before then, but I guess it depends on when you consider the necromancer arc to have started.
