Renegade Immortal (WN)

Peak. . This novel is literally the progenitor of cultivation novels. . The first 300 chapters are a bit rough to read due to translation and because its Er Gen's first novel. But i can assure you the rest of it is amazing. The reason i am giving 4, mostly because of the romance and because its a bit dragged story. . Other than that, its absolutely amazing, satisfying ending.

Low 3 star tops. Its Er Gens first work (he did a book before this but didnt finish) and it can be felt hugely. . . plot holes are frequent, author tends to forget about stuff, almost every woman theres described with paragraph describing her from perfect silk hair to jade like pinky toes or whatnot, romance is g*dd*mn awful and every group Wang Lin joins is plotting against him within next 2 lines. . . the only good parts of this novel are dao seeking and the martial arts parts, so in conlusion if you want to read something similar to this but better from same author regarding dao Id go instead to "I Shall Seal the Heaven" or "Outside of Time" and for more of casual read "A Will Eternal" is great. This is enduring bad half to get to where author finds himself which isnt for everyone

I can't recommend this novel to anyone. I barely got over 80 chapters and I can't continue. Fights are bad, boring and lack motion. Author just skips half of the first cultivation grade with 'Oh sorry, MC stronger now' logic. Mc is supposed to be smart (we are told that by literally everyone) but only solve problem by more work or by being stronger. He never makes plans or even thinks deeply about his own situation. Even worse is the general intelligence of the others. I get this novel is from the early age of cultivation novels, but that doesn't make it better.

. . . Where do I even start? This novel is truly one of my most loved novels of all time. Whether it be the start, the continuation, or the resolution; I enjoyed every bit of it. From going from a cultivator who was played by fate, to a cultivator so so ruthless, to a cultivator who had his remaining love taken away from him. . . To trampling the heavens! What did he do? He never lost his sense of self, character and went for his ultimate goal. In the end, he deeply appreciated the relations along the way. Now I must say, it wasn't *perfect* in the end, as many others have pointed out this and that. But still? I can't give this novel 4 stars. . . In the end, it was all packed up so well! Truly one of the few novels deserving of 5 stars. It's worth a read. . .

This novel is amazing, peak, great, whatever you want to call it the MC is the goat, great characters and a amazing history, pls just don't drop It, i promise you that you won't regret It.

It is the OG of cultivation novels If you think it has some cliche moments , then you're wrong the cliche moments started from this one , others have copied this one making it cliche Plus the personality of protagonist is very good

Completing this novel was like completing my karma. I have read many cultivation novels but none of them have resonated this deeply with me. Took about 6 months to complete this and I dont regret even a second i spent while reading this. The story and writing becomes better and better as it progresses and I just loved how Er gen connected everything at the end and ended the story

Very good novel, although it has its empties, I argue the story is fantastic and the main character had very good development, as did the secondary characters for me in the novels that I read enters the top 1 of my favorite novels.

I usually write lengthy reviews but for this, I can't. Renegade Immortal has entered my heart in ways that my biased review won't give it justice. I can say please read 250-300 chapters, if you don't like it even then, it's not for you.

Best of all the cultivation novels I've ever read. Felt like I myself was comprehending heaven and earth when reading it. Super immersive. Loved it.
