Overall this novel is have a deepest meaning of life this novel tell us reader that “don't give up" “don't scare of lost” and so muh more. . . Wang lin do everything for revive his wife this is a pure love. . . This novel is so peak at the same time is beautiful. . . peak MC and great Story I will continue my journey to reader other ergen book let meet me in pursuit of the truth. . .

the best what my eye can see, and the deepest of all the novels ive read so far, watching the mc grow stronger and stronger made me feel like im watching my son growing up for some reason, i dont think ill like a novel after that unfortunately. But if u have anything close to that or like similar to this novel just let me know i feel like something is missing in my days. Peak novel highly recommend.

this novels name should be runnergade immortal cuz bro runs away everytime due to a freakinn random *ss coincidence author really need to rewrite this thing bruh and love story is meh everything else is good

Gotta say I'm glad I completed this novel. Some of you might think that this is just another cultivation novel with MC face slapping arrogant young masters but trust me, the novel has more to offer than that. If you are going to read this novel please remember to never ever skip a Mortal Arc. You'll understand once you get there. These arcs are what made me realise how good of an author Er Gen actually is. I highly recommend this book. (using Reverend Insanity as a scale in my own humble opinion I like this novel more cause MC really cares about his relationships and he proved that its possible to achieve his dream without letting go of his memories and emotions)

i never finished Reverend insanity because the mc is too inhuman for me... around chapter 400 where he kill that girl just because the girl like him. Relationship is a hindrance for him.

I didn't understand what he meant by Cultivation is in the heart line, I guess that he doesn't want to cultivate anymore. Novel was great and chapters were long. The only thing that was funny and ridiculous was some line 'Slapping his bag' Mouthful of blood's i wonder if translator did this or author did this, but it was very Awkward to see those lines in fight scene, tension of fight dissipates when you see those slapping and Mouthful. Novel doesn't have a great start at the beginning, all fights are item based, cultivation levels and spell mastery and power level is all over the place but after 1000 years of cultivation, Author seems to have learned the lesson and it started to feel like a systemic cultivation novel with less confusion on power dynamics. I think Author couldn't stretch the novel for another 1000 chapters for next step of cultivation because dream was fulfilled so no reason to cultivate. We can have different ending if interpret 'Do you understand' in end. 5/5

Author writes a cultivation novel with barely any interaction with sects (even when in one), no interesting techniques, a bland protagonist (no, not saying anything at all times and just staring intensely isn't cold, it just means you have nothing interesting to say) and villains straight out of a bulk discount store. The story is well-written, but suffers from the SGIAWOM syndrome - the MC is not happy, constantly suffers and is only pushed further towards being evil with no personality on top.

It had a lot of potetial, but overall it's very repetitive and quite a few of the choices the author made can be very frustrating. For exemple: The insane amount of times the main character had to run away or face off against an opponent that was literally impossible to put up a fight against, like more than 1 major realm above him. (this can make up for some very nice scenes, but not when it's overused like in this novel). The way the author forces the plot on some occasions is very rough, like almost every single time he wants to move on to a new area or arc he just makes someone much stronger than the MC chase after him. (this part is very very very repetitive). There's a few amazing characters like the All-Seer for exemple, but the majority of them are honestly very bad, you constantly see "juniors" and "masters" that are thousands of years old speaking and behaving like teenagers. My point is that age is quite meaningless, only an extremely small amount of characters have a more mature vibe that makes you believe they lived for more than 100 years. I could go on and on about little things that made up for a poor reading experience. But anyway, considering this is the very first novel this author wrote, i'd give it a 5/10. BTW the first 60 chapters are VERY bad until it gets okayish, so keep this in mind if you going to give this novel a try.

Rating: 6-7/10 This novel had great potential, but probably because it was Er Gen's first novel, he didn't know how to dictate the pace, how to make the transition between arcs, how to get Wang Lin out of several moments of danger without it seeming forced and not falling into the d*mn cliches of the Xianxia genre. Besides that, two of the biggest problems with this novel are the large number of brainless and arrogant characters (Red Butterfly is a great example) and, as most people say, the romance between Wang Lin and Li Muwan, which had a terrible development, but at least it had several good scenes of Wang Lin remembering her while looking for a way to resurrect her. This novel had several cool moments, like the arc in which Wang Lin tries to understand his first domain, but it also had many annoying and unbearable scenes.

Finally finished… It is definitely worth finishing if you’re already on the journey, but if you haven’t I wouldn’t recommend unless there is like nothing else. Although there are some great arcs and moments in the book were I’m excited, nervous, or sad they are overshadowed by the overwhelming frustration I have felt about some things. If I had to pick the two most frustrating things it would be the romance and characters. So in short good plot although repetitive, good ending which I find a lot of these novels fall short at, and fantastic progression the mortal arcs and watching the main character slowly build up from nothing made me keep reading. If it didn’t feel like every encounter the main character had was with the same four or five people and the romance was better then this would have been a masterpiece.

One of the best cultivation novel along with other works of Er Gen. Even though it may be repetitive, it's a peak novel overall. Unlike other mcs, Wang Lin was the first mc that felt like a real person in this genre. I don't want to give much of a spoiler but there is an important event that changes him vastly. In conclusion, just read it, it's definitely not a waste of time.
