Very interesting concept and story writing, great character developments, and somewhat refreshing. The novel really has rollercoaster of emotion but it all make the story more appealing. Overall great story and boss best gurl.

. . where to even begin. First of all, this is a definite recommend. If you are familiar with author - that means you came here prepared, but if you found this title randomly - get ready for some unique stilistic choices and approaches. This is a rare author that puts characters/emotions first and doesn't value combat at all, so the novel gonna feel very different compared to other titles in this genre. Get ready for some fresh experiences . . . And now, praises aside, to the main topic. I came here after reading VWTL and Memoirs to find out how this distinct "style" was born, and Extra definitely feels like an early sketch. It doesn't have excellent character writing yet (he's still experimenting here), yet it has all the drawbacks, and they are very distinct. I noticed two major problems. First - a lot of text is dedicated to character power growth, yet "combat" doesn't exist in this title. We spend a lot of effort and time on "leveling up", but it never really matters, coz combat ends in 1-2 lines at best. In future novels, author gives up on "leveling up" completely (which is a good decision), but here we have lots of preparations that don't have any impact, or used once or twice and then become completely forgotten. Would have been better to replace all of that with character interactions or introspections, which author excels at. Second problem is his style approach, which is [Spectacle over Logic]. In his future novels, he covers "holes in the floor" pretty well, but this title has a lot of accidental nonsense that you need to agree with. It's essentially "Hey, i have this amazing scene planned, but it couldn't possibly happen because of X and Y, so you have to pretend it's alright and let me cook. " We have scenarios where MC doesn't check his phone notifications for TWO MONTHS so that other characters could keep believing that he's dead. And after drama unfolds, he'd think "Ohhh, riiiight, i need to check my phone, haha". That sort of nonsense. If you are okay with it - than all is good. . . As for the plot - it's alright. Story exists only as a background for character interactions and drama (like in NisioisiN works), author doesn't even try to do good world-building or care about setting mood/atmosphere. Well, he doesn't care about anything aside of characters themselves. So, we have story about several people meeting each other, and how their relations develop in a nonsensical setting that was abandoned midway. It's decent, but waaaay worse than his future works. Still a good read.

Definitely one of the best that I've read. A solid 11/10 from me. This book was actually the first novel I've finished and got me hooked in looking for similar genres (looking at you author's pov). The story, the characters, and the build-up were phenomenal --minus the misunderstandings, I hated that shif for eons.

I find it important to review the novel without the rose tinted glasses, considering I just finished it. The novel’s concept is not too absurd, but still interesting, and I think pulls it off the best. It starts off strong, but just like the novel within the novel, it nosedives later on. The mc doesn’t seem to put much thought into how he uses his skills, or at least we never see too much of a calculating side from him. While I like the aspect of luck, I think he relies on it far too much, especially when he could’ve made it out of situations with like 30 seconds of extra thinking. There are numerous plot holes, absurd misunderstandings that make you want to pull your hair out, arcs dragged out way too much, and the author constantly teased stuff and then makes the character forget about it so the author can tease it again later. The mc is quite boring, we don’t see a lot of depth from the majority of characters, the fights are very quick and vague, and some aspects of the story are mentioned once to never be seen again (like the Saint stats from the Tower). The ending, however, is the worst of it. In the final arc, it seems like the author just wanted to get it over with, so they tried cramming as many aspects into the final arc as possible. This, however, makes it incredibly disjointed as it’s hard to have a smooth reading experience when you switch to a completely different perspective from a character doing something completely different while the previous character was fighting the main antagonist. The ending itself makes no sense, either; why would the Kwang-Oh incident have a stronger effect on those remembering Hajin than their several years’ worth of relationship? This is a massive plothole, and I think this was because the author originally intended for none of them to remember Hajin until he saw the readers’ reactions. Since Hajin’s soul was the core of the world, it makes much, much more sense that those who were close/formed a bond with him would remember them, rather than because of Kim Chundong. Obviously the novel is still interesting, and I especially love the explanation of the difference in dimensions between Earth and lower-ranked dimensions; the idea that, the less control humans have over the world, the more stable it is, is absolutely ingenious. This novel is good, but the flaws are too apparent for me to rate it anything higher than 4/5.

This is one of the first books I read I loved maybe cus it’s the first when the writer gets pulled into his book the others are classical gets stronger then becomes the strongest in that verse overpowers everyone here he’s not the lucky he creates his luck maybe not the best ending but it was emotional rollercoaster ride for most peaple who read this and I would recommend this books on this website if this is like one of the first book u read but to those who have read other gems they won’t find this to their taste since they have tested better 👍🏽but overall its a 7. 5 it has left an impact on me 😭

While the ending may not be the greatest, and best girl does not win (imo), this novel stayed with me for the past year. I finished it last summer in about 10 days, yes i enjoyed it that much. That one side story is amazing and my only complaint was a little bit of a rushed ending. First 300 chapters is some of the best fiction one can read.

Ah, I waited so long, I mean, at some moments, I write something in my own mind rather than what the author wrote, and I make the characters say the things I want them to say in my head, this is my way of satisfying myself. Anyway, the novel impressed me a lot, so I started it because of the webtoon and I was really attached to Kim Hajin. . I liked that Hajin was a character who was sure of her own emotions, and I also liked the variety of characters. Like other readers, I did not like the ending.

Its a good novel but not really great for me because even if i like misunderstandings i don't like repetitive one were all the mc relationships is based on misunderstandings , in TOTCF i got tired of the repetitive misunderstandings in 500 chapter but here in novel extra i already got tired of it in 100 chapter because all the misunderstandings is based on the mc lazy communication with people , and the other reason why i dropped is because it has a really predictable ending because its korean novel were all ending is very bad so i wouldn't be able to enjoy the journey or the destination so i will drop it . . . For first timer in korean novel and misunderstanding trope give this novel a try it will be really great for you

I started reading this novel because of the manhwa and quite liked the story. I think the beginning and middle of the story are very good but towards the end the quality starts to decline. When I first read the ending I felt annoyed but when I tried it the second time I started to accept it. The only thing I regret about this novel is why the author didn't let Hajin reveal who he really is? Wouldn't it be cool if he suddenly appeared in a black lotus robe? So for that reason the story gets a 7. 5/10 rating from me, thank you :)
