I think there's two main ways of assessing this: how good it is as a comedy novel and how good it is as a cultivation novel. On the comedy side, I actually laughed out loud a lot while reading this, which I think says enough as to its success. In a similar way as Konosuba, I think at its core the humor of this novel revolves around people (in this case cultivators) of great strength and renown being unreliable, eccentric, and absurd. The main character and his band of maniacs aren't much different, so the author gets to play with a lot of weird situations to keep the comedy fresh. On the cultivation side, while there isn't much to discuss since the comedy naturally takes center stage, there is a reasonable level of depth to the world, even if a lot of it is made to reach a punchline. The powerscaling is kinda wonky but the way Golden Cores can be formed with all sorts of concepts, or how Unity stage fights play with the enforcing of rules on one another, or the world-bending system of the immortals' ariya-phala, or simply the sheer variety of techniques, systems, and combat styles makes for a lot of freedom to make unique and interesting situations, whether those situations are played out seriously or for jokes. There are also some random tender or serious moments sprinkled in this novel that stand out as making the story feel very human, like when Lu Yang takes the time to do the rites of the victims of the demon tiger early in the novel, or when he ponders on the growth of his peers seeing Peach Blossom Leaf become more accustomed to living in the wilderness. Lu Yang's ascension to Golden Core was also genuinely cool to watch, and the characters are given enough room to inspire shock and awe while still being ultimately part of a comedy novel. What else is there to say? It's good. Read it.

A good story with great sense of humor, side characters, great ideas, interesting plots. It has side characters that feels alive, with their background story properly explained. Every often new minor adventures that shows different parts of world, how geographical, historical development affect certain empires, areas.

it's pretty good novel . Some may not be like it, but if you read too much cultivation novel and soon you were be bored of MC doing cultivate, fight, explore and cultivate. Those types of novel rarely hold other characters background, story and so on and you will be forgot them soon But in this, you will remember each characters cuz they are unique and some of them have better storyline than MC. Even author write books about those characters, it will still hit the market. So try this You will not regret. Especially for those readers whose atry reading Wuxia since 2014.

The parody is excellently done blending in the plot rather than the others who do it and make the story purely silly nonsense, really funny too. The only problem is the release of each chapter. It's too inconsistent, you can go for months on end only to see 20 more chapters. There are over a thousand chapters from the raws and there are mtl versions but the translator here spoiled me too much that i can't bear reading the mtl ones.

This Novel is like a Parody of Cultivation Novel, for example like KonoSuba which is parody of Isekai. Cultivators here don't take themselves to seriously. Bizarre & Crazy modern IRL elements added to Cultivation World makes for some Hilarious situations. Specially the MC & his Misfit close allies will make you Laugh your as* off. I would say, it's more similar to perhaps "Cultivation Chat Group" then proper Cultivation Novels. Light hearted & very fun to read.

I'll list some pros and cons below, but for the most part, there is no overarching plot, and the writing comes off as amateurish. Pro's -The world is interesting and while some of it doesn't make all that much sense. Cons-No plot but coincidences & luck. IT JUST MY OPINIONS;)

Dude the novel is currently at almost 1200 chapters in raw. It has a significant central plot and you've read only till ch45 which is simply an introduction to being a mad person. Read it and you'll thoroughly enjoy it

A hilarious novel that takes cultivation troupes and makes fun of them, but not in a fourth wall breaking way. Would definitely recommend if you are a fan of cultivation novels or funny stories

A great novel with good comedic timing and situations that will make you laugh out loud. The usual tropes have been turned and twisted to make it a much better read. Also supreme sister supremacy.

The expected cliches are twisted in hilarious logical situation. It's a nice humourous read. The Duo of Lu Yang and Meng Jingzhou is absolutely Righteous. And Praise be to Senior Sister Yun Zhi, I believe in Senior Sister Supremacy 🛐
