Lightning Is the Only Way

Oh Man. Im Only on chapter 722 but I think this will be enough for an initial review. So, the world Building is great, it gets you hooked, it stimulates your fantasy and lastly it makes sense. The translation is also Top Notch, you cant get much better than this honestly. I have only spotted very few grammar errors, if any. Now to the MC: Gravis. His Personality is as fickle as a childs Heart. One Moment he has a Great Realization, and Enlightment, which also strenghens him, only for him to forget that Realization a few moments later. Its like someone realizing that beeing Arrogant affects your live in a bad way, but he is 1 week later acting arrogant again. Its just too frustrating. His Personality is just unstable and everchanging. Also, sometimes it feels like the author does not just Pull Plot Armor for Gravis out of his *ss, but Enough and, unbecoming while at that, plot armour for the whole world out of it. Doesnt he realize, that we realize how sh*t some scenarios are? As an example: He fights someone very Powerful, and he also learnt stuff that make him Powerful before the fight, as usual. But it turns out, the opponent is more Powerful than what he can handle, even more so than usual. But… wow. . look at Gravis he learnt this very specific concept, that he never thought would exist, that also seems completely out of touch with the current situation, past and future of the Novel. Just completly bizzare. To be fair tho, this doesnt happen often. Still Im planning on reading this to the very End. I just want to know what will happen when he gets supreme Power and is able to stand on the same power level as his farher. Against all Odds im still reading the Novel, half because of the previous reason and half because I have already read this far. Overall this is definitly above average, bit definitly not worth its Rank. The latter Work of the author is much better in my opinion. Above all a 3. 5/5

I liked the ending, for being sort of wuxia novel this has done it really well as power level after power level can get repetitive. Throughout the novel, the diversed and well thought characters as well as writing style and humour has brought vibrant life to this story. I will recommend you to read it. 4. 7/5

This is the second novel I've read by this author and I've become a fan of his work, what a crazy journey it was, the battles, the philosophical dialogues, the drama, the psychology. of course there were some dull moments here and there, also some weird choices, but they did not ruined my reading

It's good. A bit slow at times, tedious even. But it really is good. Would recommend but if you don't like it after the first ~100 chapters it's not for you and that's just how cultivation novels are. Try it.

Incredibly good world building, philosophy, fights, power systems, characters, and writing. I cannot sleep with a good conscience without giving this novel 5 stars. Absolutely a jewel of a novel.

Story is peak. Character development is peak. Plot twists? Peak. The only bad thing I can say about this is that some parts are too long and boring for what the novel otherwise offers, but overall it's just good. Read it all of you can. You won't regret it.

Definitely one of my favourites, I was sceptical reading this since I read Sword God, wasn’t sure if this would be up to expectations but it was definitely the best decision I made. I honestly enjoyed it more than Sword God, they are both peak but this had more of an edge for me. I’d definitely recommend this if you’re seeing this comment, give it shot and read.

I have read up until Chapter 21. The start is very slow and frankly boring and incredibly generic. I really dislike this top -> down type of world building, it spoils the top level and doesn't really feel immersive to me, for example, its hard to take some random thugs seriously when character was surrounded by godking level characters a chapter prior. My consensus is a 2/5, it's a generic novel, read if you have nothing better.

compared to author's another novel this one is very sane. cultivation novel but other aspects are good. different worlds, different species and many more unforeseen situations i can't write cause of spoilers but i can say confidently ending is satisfying
